An outpost in the area

Hello shrimps.

I am looking forward for the weekend. Just to tease your fishing instincts a bit, I can tell you that I did spend my “efterårsferie” in the area.

I went out one morning at “Mølleskoven” by “Hverring” - a  cold morning with windy weather, although i found a calm spot. I fished there for a couple of hours without any contact.

A few days later the wind was more calm and from the east so I went to “Langeø”. A really fine stretch of “trout-coast”. All the time I had the felling that there was something in the water. One time I did have a “follow trout”. I tried with combinations of “bombarda” and different flies without success and also normal spinning equipment, as Hugo’s with different colours and in combination with “ophænger” flies. Finally I did catch a small “Grønlænder” on a Mickey Finn in front of a brownish Hugo. As the single “scout” I did have contact with the enemy. I am sure that we will succeed in the war as the heavy cavalry join the battlefield next weekend.

Viel Grüsse. Kristian

Nice that you have done a little recon in the area. Mickey Finn is a classic and I’m looking forward to fishing it next weekend. According to the forecast, the wind will be fairly strong from east, so we’ll fish the inside of the peninsula on friday at least.
