After a month with too much work I took a day off from work to go fishing by the coast. Christian Bjergager was able to join me. The plan was to go to the east coast of Sjælland, south of the mound of Mølleåen. But because of strong wind from south east we decided to go to the North coast of Sjælland – Vejby Strand. The sun was shining, the wind in the back and a high tide – perfect.

We started close to each other, fishing the area close to the coast as we walked out. After ten minutes a fine see-trout took my white spoon, and after a short, but good fight, a blank trout was laying at the coast. About 45 centimeters of trout, in good condition.

What a nice start of this years trout season. Later Christian caught a fine, but small trout. We did have contact with more – one was about 60 centimeters. At one o’clock we went home.
